Hermes Agent

A few weeks ago, I started using Hermes Agent (after experimenting with Open Claw). I think for non-coding, mostly non-technical work, this was exactly what I was looking for.

My main use case is around research and recalling things that I’ve read. I enter articles and books I’ve read, and do a re-reading of it while the AI finds entities and concepts for each chapter or segment of reading.

Then, there’s a cron job to do some active recall to force me to think through what I’ve just read about. Sometimes, these ideas will help with re-incorporating back into everyday life.

But of course, I have to be careful. AI loves to stack on these things in cron jobs. You have to be careful with tailoring only the things that work for you and to eliminate the rest.
